Delta Shovel

"This is a heavy duty shovel. The material used is quality material. I purchased the mount also which is very well made and really secures the shovel well My only complaint are the push pins that you have to depress to extend/collapse the handle. They get stuck inside the handle when you try to either extend/collapse the handle. Demos states in their directions to clean and oil these areas to make sure they properly work. My shovel is brand new and hasn't been used on the trail yet. On the inital deployment, the push pins got stuck inside the handle. I had to use a screw driver to manuever push pins back out into place. This is the only issue I have with the shovel. I hope this doesn't become an issue on the trail. Overall, this shovel is heavy duty and robust. I am happy with my purchase."

Well, damn

"I got this as a birthday gift and I thought, “Why on earth would anyone pay this much for a shovel?”. Then I used it. It folds down to nothing which, in the overlanding arena, means everything. And it just works. And, again, in the overlanding arena means everyone. To quote Ferris Bueller, “If you have the means, I highly recommend you pick one up”. Oh Yeah!"

Delta shovel

"This shovel is the only one I was able to find that was full-sized and able to fold to a small package. It digs pretty well and has held up to the abuse Ive given it. The price is worth the made in USA/quality to me. The telescoping buttons could be better sometimes I struggle with those and the pin that folds the head over. But I don’t have a better option; it would require an invention. The metal strength charts all say that this steel would be stronger than the Pro aluminum head."

Head too heavy, shovel unbalanced.

"The Delta shovel head is too heavy, and it makes the shovel unbalanced. It weighs true to specs -- 5. 7 lbs, aka: 5 lbs 11 oz. Almost 6 lbs. I will be seeking exchange for the lighter but pricier Delta PRO shovel."

Amazing Customer Service, Amazing Product

"Not only does DMOS sell a quality product, but their customer service is second-to-none. After delivery of the Delta (in grey) I ordered, I decided to be a pain in the rear and change the color I wanted to red. DMOS provided RMA for my original order and shipped out the shovel in red without any questions. Veteran friendly to boot. What else could I ask for?? Currently looking for more stuff to buy!!"
