1. IT'S ALL IN THE LEGS
Lift by bending and straightening your legs rather than bending at your back. A strong core and straight back is crucial too. Trust us, you'll save yourself plenty of pain.
2. NO TWISTING
Minimize twisting when you lift or throw snow. You'll want to keep your hips square and throw the snow straight, always!
3. ICE, ICE, BABY
If you have kept the Alpha Driveway inside your garage, spray the Alpha blade with Silicone before you shovel to prevent ice from forming and snow from sticking.
4. TEMPERATURE IS KEY
Temper your shovel to the outside temperature before getting to work.
5. HANDLE WITH CARE
Regularly maintain your shovel by sharpening and filing the blade. Make sure to keep an eye on the handle bolts and tighten them when needed.
6. PROTECT YOUR HANDS
Make sure you wear leather gloves that fit correctly to minimize chafe and waterproof them with a product like Atsko Sno-Seal Leather Protector.
7. THERE'S NO APP FOR THIS
Leave your phone inside. It will just get in the way!
